WHAT IS INTUITION
"Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning or needing an explanation." ...Wikipedia
"Intuition is a natural ability or power that makes it possible to know something without any proof or evidence: a feeling that guides a person to act a certain way without fully understanding why." ...Britannica Dictionary
Intuition's basic meaning is 'a knowing without knowing how we know'.
It is a learning from within.
TRUSTING OUR INTUITION
"Never ignore your first instinct just because it isn't what you want to believe." ...unknown
How often have we heard someone say ..."I should have listened to my intuition"
We have berated ourselves for not 'listening' to what we were 'getting' about an event or situation.
Many of us have ignored that gut feeling giving us bad vibes about a friendship or relationship only to have it end in an unpleasant way.
Some years ago I found myself in a situation where I was being followed. My intuition clicked in. Luckily I listened, trusted and was guided safely out of danger.
We can trust our intuitive instincts.
The more we trust and use our intuition the stronger it gets. If something doesn't feel right, the chances are it isn't.
Intuition shows up regularly if we allow it to. It guides us in the right direction, steering us away from wrong decisions. Messing up doesn't mean we can't trust ourselves. It is a lesson. It teaches us to trust our intuition next time.
Tuning in and trusting our intuition takes time, patience and being consistent.
If we are unsure of what our intuition is trying to tell us, we can use divination to give us confirmation e.g. a pendulum. Receiving revelations and experiencing synchronicities are also indicators that our intuition is on the right path.

Affirmation: Â "I trust my intuition and follow its guidance".
HOW CAN WE TELL IF IT IS OUR INTUITION AND NOT FEAR OR OUR EGO
"Trust your first impression. Generally, we think we are being a bad person to judge. The difference between trusting a 'red flag' and judging is intuition. Judgement comes from the ego. Intuition from our gut." ...Anna Pereira
Most of us haven't been taught to use our intuitive senses but all of us know a 'gut feeling'.
Intuition is often fast, feels light and is for our highest good.
The ego leads us to think we 'should' do something.
Decisions flow in with intuition whereas with the ego they feel forced.
Intuition reinforces confidence, feels empowering and inspires us to take action. The ego feels like pressure and is limiting.
Intuition works while we sleep and watch TV. It is always there for us.
It is the wisest part of us.
Sometimes what feels like intuition can actually be fear, anxiety or a reaction to trauma. Fear screams, intuition nudges.
We need to ask ourselves if we are grounded and in the moment. If we are confused or anxious, it is probably fear.
Intuition is calm and clear, anxiety feels urgent and heavy.
True intuition won't tell us to run from everything that is hard but it will tell us when something is not right or is out of alignment.
INTUITION, OUR MIND AND OUR BODY
"It is by logic that we prove, but by intuition that we discover." ...Henri Poincare
"Intuition is the key to thinking. It is our contact between the conscious and subconscious. It is our subconscious that suddenly comes through and lets us know that 'this is something to be thought about'. It is intuition that is continually opening doors of thought." ...R. Buckminster Fuller
If we are not sure if we are listening to our fearful mind or our trustworthy intuition, it is worthwhile ascertaining if we are overthinking.
Intuition incorporates a feeling-based form of communication between our soul and our body. It can manifest in the body as a gut feeling, butterflies in the tummy, a tightness in the chest, a sudden wave of calm, and our heart can skip a beat.
To listen we need to trust the signs our body sends us.
"Intuition is a very powerful thing. More powerful than intellect." ...Steve Jobs
HOW CAN OUR INTUITION BECOME STRONGER
Intuition is the GPS of our soul.
It is a sign that our soul is guiding us. It is up to us to take action that heeds that guidance.
The more-clear a channel we can become the easier it will be to receive and interpret our intuition. We can do this by further developing our senses.
Some of the ways we can strengthen our intuitive abilities are by:
Meditating - reducing stress
Spending time in nature
Practising gratitude
Journaling
Clearing and balancing our chakras and aura
Practising yoga
Listening to music
Singing and dancing
Grounding
Energy healing
Using crystals
Salt baths
Improving our diet
Being in the moment
CONCLUSION
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift." ...Albert Einstein
Our intuition won't always lead us to what we think is the perfect outcome however it is usually what we need at the time. It will guide us to the truth, to growth and to clarity in a particular situation.
Intuition is our friend for life. It is our inner compass.
In this noisy world we need to honour our intuition's whispers and quiet nudging through being aware and being 'quiet' ourselves. If we do this on a regular basis, our path will become clearer.
The more we follow our intuition the more natural it will feel to trust it.
It will guide us to better relationships, better decisions, a much deeper connection to ourselves and to a sense of peace.
Blessings ...
Lyndall
